PAV Events Programme

Regrettably the Royal Armouries has not scheduled any PAV firings since they were cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation in March 2020.

However, the Portsdown Artillery Volunteers (PAV) will muster in uniform at Fort Nelson once a month through 2023 (except August) to meet with the public to explain the role of the Volunteers and the history of the fort. Dates scheduled for the year are as follows: 29th January; 26th February; 26th March; 23rd April; 28th May; 25th June; 23rd July; 24th September; 22nd October; 26th November and in December. Please note that these dates may be subject change.

Normally the PAV expects to fire a varied selection of Victorian ordnance during the visitor season. Pictures of the ordnance fired to the original Victorian drills are showed below:
